Signe S. C. Rosenweis (formerly Søby Bech)
Background
Signe trained in Performing Arts with a Danish youth theatre company from the age of 12 to 18.
Signe worked for four years in the Danish film and television industry, before attending Film School. She trained as a Producer and Production Manager on commercials, television programs and short films.
Signe graduated as a Director at Bournemouth Film School at The Arts Institute at Bournemouth. She made two short films during her Film School education, which was screened at several film festivals around the world.
In 1998 Bournemouth Film School received the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for its outstanding work and excellence in the field of film, television and animation. Signe was chosen as one of two students to accept the award from the Queen at the award ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

2014 Directed the short film Skybrud/Skybreak. Produced by Fourhands Film, producer Jacob Oliver Krarup and co-writer/producer Darin Mailand-Mercado with support from The Danish Film Institute, NDS, Shoot It.
2011 Directed test scene/pilot for the short film Frit Fald fra Himlen/From the Sky. Produced by Angel Films
2005 Directed the short film Sommerfuglekvinden/The Butterfly Woman produced by SF-Film. The film has participated in film festivals in Caribbean, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Belarus, Norway, Northern Ireland, India, Thailand, Serbia & Montenegro, UK, Japan and USA. The film was distributed by The Spiritual Cinema Circle and send out to members in 80 countries in 2005.
2001 Directed the short film Herretoilettet/The Men’s Room produced by M&M Productions. It was sold to Swedish Television and the Netherlands VPRO. The film won a prize for “Best International Short Film” at World of Women International Film Festival in Australia 2002.
2000 Directed the short film Frøken Sofie/Faces of Sophie produced with funding from The Danish Film Institute’s Film Workshop. The film was sold to Canal Plus Scandinavian and has participated in many film festivals internationally. It was distributed by The Spiritual Cinema Circle and send out to members in 80 countries in 2005.
1999 Directed the short film Broken Dreams (graduation film). Screened at several film festivals.
1998 Directed the short film The Hunt (Film School film). Screened at several film festivals.
